This device provides a battery back-up power for non-volatile TIMEKEEPER® and supervisor devices in the 28 or 44 pin SNAPHAT® Small Outline Integrated Circuit (SOIC) package. The part snaps directly on to the surface mounted SOIC package for easy removability and insertion. The two piece design helps to prevent the battery and crystal from being exposed to high temperatures during surface mount soldering process.
