The Refresh Bed & Stretcher Pickup and Repair Program is a comprehensive solution designed to revitalize existing hospital beds and stretchers, helping healthcare facilities extend equipment life, reduce costs, ensure compliance—including with Joint Commission standards—and support sustainability initiatives, all while maintaining high standards of patient safety, satisfaction, and infection control.
The program addresses common causes of inspection failure, including rust, faulty brakes and broken wheels, broken and/or degraded plastics, extensive repair history, and worn-out and/or torn mattresses.
The Refresh Program for Hospital Stretchers Will:
1. Run serial number with OEM for necessary upgrades, recalls, and revisions
2. Disassemble and disinfect all components
3. Polish, replate, repaint, or replace all exterior components
4. Install rebuild kits in all hydraulic jacks
5. Inspect all working components for wear and replace defective parts
6. Soak, degrease, clean, and lubricate wheel and caster assembly
7. Replace foot pedals if necessary
8. Sand, prime, and paint frame to meet new specifications
9. Restore the stretcher base and lift system to original mechanical specifications
10. Recalibrate the brake and steer system
11. Reassemble refurbished components
12. Inspect and lubricate all pivot points
13. Inspect and lubricate instant CPR cables and latch release
14. Inspect and lubricate side rail latches
15. Apply new decals and safety information
16. Stage test weight tolerances and table movement through all available articulations
