Product Overview
This Sloan V-651-A Vacuum Breaker Repair Kit can be used in all Sloan Flushometers. The vacuum breaker acts as a one way valve that allows water to flow down thru it, but won’t allow water to siphon back up. It also allows air to pass thru the vents in the side of the vacuum breaker tube to break the vacuum that is created at the end of the flush cycle. This upgraded kit features a skirt around the base to prevent any leaking caused by the higher back pressure caused by low consumption fixtures. Over time, a vacuum breaker can become brittle and begin leaking and will need to be replaced. Since the vacuum breaker is designed to prevent any water from flowing backward and into the clean water supply line, it’s important to replace if your fixture is leaking near the vacuum breaker tube.
