Product Overview
The Porter Automatic Vacuum Switch (AVS) prevents N2O from being administered without scavenging. The AVS provides safety with certainty – automatic “on” and automatic “off”. Nothing is required of the system operator to remember to turn on the vacuum. The minute the gas begins to flow from the flowmeter, the Porter AVS automatically activates the scavenger vacuum. Vacuum control and indicator gauge are conveniently located on the side of the AVS – and allow for simple yet accurate vacuum adjustment. Vacuum rates that are set too high will pull N2O away from the patient faster than they can breathe it in. Vacuum rates that are set too low may result in excess N2O exposure for both the Dr. and staff.
