The M2636B telemon monitor is a telemetry extension device providing noninvasive blood pressure (NBP) capability, a bedside/patient-side display, and isolated line power or battery power to extend the M2601A telemetry transmitter battery life. As part of the telemetry system, telemon with a docked transmitter provides local display of ECG waveforms, a pleth wave, a delayed/annotated ECG wave, heart rate, SpO2, and NBP while simultaneously transmitting ECG, SpO2 and NBP via a unidirectional RF telemetry link to the Information Center. This is provided by TeleMon within the antenna system coverage area. At the central station, a “docked transmitter” indication will be displayed to distinguish data being sourced from a transmitter docked with telemon.
