This filter is designed to reduce contamination of the vacuum regulator by preventing the penetration of fluids and acts as a shut off in the presence of flooding. Ohio medical hydrophobic filter is available with a 1/8 NPT thread that can be placed directly into the bottom of the regulator (in place of the tubing nipple) or with a tubing connection so that it can be attached to the regulator tubing nipple.
