FRONT END CASTER by GE Healthcare

The Front End Casters are designed and manufactured with high precision techniques and come as a part of the 2D cardiovascular ultrasound system, which is a digital ultrasound imaging system. The front casters can be locked in fixed directions. They have a capacity of bearing a nominal load of 35 kg while peak loads can be 150 kg. The brake can be operated by means of a lever and the maximum lever force that can be applied is 80N. It is fastened to manifold unit by a hex key by applying a torque of 130 NM. It is provided with shock absorbers to avoid shocks for better performance and it is an essential part for the products safety. The surfaces are polished, machined or eroded at particular locations for good grip and braking. Mechanical finishing is done to avoid scratches and notches. The caster material is provided with high wear and corrosion resistance for better performance and to increase reliability. The high hardness of the material can withstand static and dynamic load capacity. The materials used for the casters are lightweight and become more compact which does not affect the integral strength.
