The Spring is a component in dock pedal of the patient table assembly. It can fit into both aluminum and plastic dock pedals, thus making it backward compatible. The dock pedal is made up of pultruded carbon fiber, which makes it more cost effective than the usual stainless steel springs. The failure rate of the carbon fiber is very minimal, hence the life cycle of the carbon fiber is almost 10 times more than that of the stainless steel. It can persist for a longer period of time.
