The Collimator Motor - Gold Contact and Coupling Assembly consists of single piece made aluminum coupling and a MDrive23Plus micro stepping high torque integrated motor. The integrated electronics of the MDrive23Plus eliminates the need to run motor cabling through the machine, reducing the potential for problems due to electrical noise. Due to the innovative techniques used to control the current flowing through the motor, the resonance is significantly dampened over the entire speed range and the audible noise is reduced. The MDrive23Plus is a compact, powerful and inexpensive solution that will reduce design and assembly time for a large range of brushless motor applications. This Mdrive motor connects with DS (Double Start) series beam couplings are a low inertia, high performance coupling that utilizes a helical double start technology. The DS series coupling is used for optimized motion control systems. This series contains two helical beams (double start) with two separate HELI-CAL Flexures (double flexure), combining greater end-to-end rotational accuracy with radial flexibility in a single design. It uses only integral clamp attachments.
