The Trackball Assembly for LP56 is a trackball assembly that is mainly used in Ultrasound and other Digital Imaging (DI) healthcare systems. It is mounted in the operator panel of the machine. It communicates with the ultrasound host computer over USB through a hub built into the operator panel electronics. Over USB, the trackball position data and the status of the mouse buttons are communicated via a standard Microsoft driver. The trackball assembly is supplied along with a trackball bracket, ribbon cable and tapping screw. The cable is necessary as the trackball replaces a previous design that had an integral cable for connecting to the mouse buttons. Both the trackball and the cable are safely packaged with adequate protection to survive a drop test. The integrated circuit takes continual snapshot of ball surface and how the features in these snapshots move is used to detect ball motion. This product is used specifically in machines such as LOGIQ P5/P6/P6 PRO/A5/A5 Pro and other similar machines. It comes with a smooth finish without any burrs, sharp edges, surface blemishes, sink marks and flash marks.
