The Sensor flag is used in carriage travel of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This sensor is made of material plastic phenolic sheet. Phenolic Plastics are a laminated plastic created by the impregnation of layers of a substrate with a resin then formed utilizing heat and pressure. Phenolic plastic are incredibly light weight and have high water dissipation combined with low water absorption. They can withstand a wide range of temperatures and humidity and can be infused with flame retardant epoxy resins to make them flame resistant. They have good abrasion and impact resistance and can easily be molded into parts of all shapes and sizes. They also resist corrosion from common chemicals, solvents, acids and bases. This sensor has a wide range of temperature sensitivity which provide the maximum amount of utility, especially for tests spanning large temperature gradients.
