Product Overview
A Fuse is an safety device used to protect an electrical circuit from higher current. It has a strip of wire that melts and breaks an electric circuit when the current exceeds a desired level. Regular fuses are always connected in series with components to be protect from overcurrent, so when the fuse blows (opens) it will open the circuit and stop any current through the components. Regular fuses do not allow for any spike over the current rating of the fuse. A time delay fuse, sometimes known as an anti-surge or slow blow fuse, allows a surge in electricity for a short time before the fuse actually blows. They are well suited for electronics as they allow the initial surge of power without destroying the circuit. This time delay fuse can be used with Discovery ST and Discovery ST (4 Slice and 16 Slice) X-Ray Systems.
