The Regulator Complete Oxygen (O₂) Assembly is a component of the integrated resuscitation system in a warmer, which is used to provide a quick neonatal resuscitation therapy. Resuscitation is a process of clearing the airways, assisting breathing and providing oxygen or medical air/oxygen mixture’s circulation in newborn babies who have difficulty in adjusting to external environment outside uterus that can lead to respiratory related issues. The O₂ cylinder assembly includes a gauge, regulator and a yoke. A fitting is used to connect the external gas hose to the resuscitation system. The cylinder is fit into the machine through a high pressure yoke. A pressure gauge is mounted to display pressure in the cylinder. A pressure regulator controls the pressure in the cylinder per the requirement. Initially the pressure inside the cylinder is regulated to a nominal limit internally before it is limited to a constant by relief valves external to the complete O₂ assembly. It comes as a part of MIC Giraffe™ Warmer, MIC Panda™ iRES Warmer and ARC Light Monitor.
