The Porthole latch cover is used in the doors of the Giraffe™ Omni bed. It is used to open and close the door frequently. This latch cover is fitted inside the side panel (East or West) of the door kit. The material is an acetal which has high stiffness and ease of machining. It is porosity free and works well in moist conditions. It has high tensile strength and works under wide range of temperatures. It has good colorability and dimensional stability in high precision molding. All burs and sharp edges are removed for safety. Ejector pin marks are to be flush ± 0.010 and the Gate to be flush ± 0.02.The background is light gray and obtained either by PMS Cool Gray 1 or by two layers paint. The covers have a finish of SPI D-2 which is a polishing standard on this mold finish. It is safe to use in varying environments.
