The Wire Harness Air Flow Sensor Assembly consists of an optical transducer reflective sensor, MTE pin housing and MTE pin that are assembled together. An optical transducer is a type of sensor which converts one form of signal to another form. The sensor is covered by black thermoplastic housing. When the reflective object passes within its limits the sensor responses to the radiation from IRED. The MTE pin is the interconnector which connects the sensor and board together. This type has 5 pins and has 5 wire outputs. This pin is manufactured from high quality material and provides a clean signal transmission. These MTE connectors are based on Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC) technology. The base material is made of phosphor bronze. The MTE shroud housing is a part which is attached to the MTE pin and acts as its protector. The wires are connected to this part and transmit the signals.
