The Flip Up Door Kit is an assembly for the Giraffe incubator. The entire assembly contains many components such as door, hinge, bumper grommet, dowel pin and O-rings. These parts are assembled together to make up the Flip Up Door. This is one of the components in the bed side assembly in the Giraffe incubator. The door is considered one of the major components in the assembly. It is made up of acrylic plastic material. It has outstanding optical clarity and weather resistance ability. It is lightweight and can withstand extreme cold, sunlight, sudden temperature change, and salt water spray. It has extraordinary expansion and contraction properties due to changing temperature and humidity. It can perform better in the temperature range from -40 0° C (-40 0° F) to 93 0° C (200 0° F). This door has higher resistance than glass to thermal shock. The hinge is another major component in this flip door assembly kit. It is made up of high impact ABS material. It is grey in color. This component is going to be fixed in the down side of the door with the help of two dowel pin. The bumper grommet is fixed on the doors upper side. There will be two grommets in this assembly. It is made up of PVC material. Dowel pins are used to combine both the hinge and the door. A light coat of Vac Kote is applied to the O-ring and is placed in to the hinge. The whole assembly will be inserted in to the door.
