The Hose Assembly EVAC Gas Magenta- 5m Long is a hose that comes as a part of the Anesthetic Gas Scavenging System (AGSS) module of the Breathing Gas Circuit (BCG) in an anesthesia delivery machine. Excess fresh gas released from the bellows and the ventilator drive gases is transferred from the exhalation valve to the AGSS module. The needle valve assembly in AGSS contains Diameter Index Safety System (DISS) EVAC connector. The hose is provided at the wall outlet of evacuation system, with straight end fittings. The ends of the hose have DISS hand tight as outlet fitting and Chemetron male as inlet fitting provided in the assembly. It is used to evacuate the inhaled gas to drain. It is made of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) without Di (2-ethylhexyl) Phthalate (DEHP) as the plasticizer thus avoiding the side effects of DEHP on patients and the environment, hence making it safer to use in medical equipment.
