The Screw SEMS M3X8 Pozidrive is a machine screw with lock washers pre-attached to save users assembly time. They combine two separate parts into one pre-assembled, low cost fastener. A Pozidriv screws have a set of radial indentations set at 45° from the main cross recess on the head of the screw. This prevents the driver from popping out of the screw and causing head damage. A Pozidriv screwdriver has parallel flanks, a blunt tip, and additional smaller ribs at 45° to the main slots. A Pozidriv screw allows more torque to be applied to it. The screws are made up of stainless steel, which significantly improved corrosion resistance, especially when exposed to seawater and many types of chemicals. Stainless steels are iron-based alloys, which contain a minimum of chromium of around 10.5%. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to stainless steel and helps to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintain excellent toughness.
