Blake Collins is the regional director of clinical engineering, managing 33 technicians and over 31,000 devices for Christiana Care, a not-for-profit, non-secretarian major teaching hospital headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. Christian Care has two hospitals with more than 1,400 patient beds, a home health care service, preventive maintenance, rehabilitation services, a network of primary care physicians and an extensive range of outpatient services. Mr. Collins has been in the Medical Equipment field for over 24 years and the health care industry for over 34 years. He retired from the United States Navy after 21 years in 2004. He received his basic and advanced BMET training in Aurora, CO at the United States Army Medical Equipment and Optical School. After retirement, he became a Regional Director for a large third party ISO in Indianapolis, IN before joining Christiana Care in Newark, DE in 2012. Mr. Collins earned his BS in Biomedical Technology from Wayland Baptist University and MBA, and is a CBET, CHTM and FABC.
